Halifax, North Carolina

Just a few miles from our home is the historic town of Halifax, NC.   The town is noted for April 12, 1776 where North Carolina’s “Halifax Resolves” was signed.  This declaration of independence was signed just a few months prior to the big event: The Declaration of Independence!

I had a few minutes one day so I sketched a portion of the downtown area.  The old courthouse dome is in the distance.
